Emails, phone calls, in person meetings, faxes, etc. can all be tracked in one place: SAM!
In SAM, open a client record > click Communications (sidebar) |
Communications are added one of four ways:
- Manual Entry
- Email Templates or Bulk Emails
- Email Invoice/Receipts
- Email Importing
The communication overview form provides a brief of all communications entered for the record.
Meatball Menu | Edit/Details/Delete Communication
Use the meatball menu to access the Edit and/or Details forms for a communication, or delete a communication record.
In SAM, open a client record > click Communications (sidebar) > click Meatball Menu for desired Communication record > select desired option |
Important Communication Fields
- Communication Entered By/Date - who/when this communication was entered.
- Communication Entered through Form - when manually entering a communication,
- User Initiated - set as yes when communication is sent via an Auto Action or Template. This field is available for entry when a user manually enters a communication record.
- Communication with Entity Type - entered as main entity when sent through Auto Action or Template. This entry can be adjusted when manually entering communications.
- Communication with Entity Name - entered as main entity when sent through Auto Action or Template. This entry can be adjusted when manually entering communications
- Imported Email - set as yes when imported through email importing
Add Communications
In SAM, open a client record > click Communications (sidebar) > Add Communication (sidebar) > enter desired data > Save |
Email Templates or Bulk Emails from SAM
Users can send emails to client records from SAM by:

Send Invoice/Receipts
Users can email Invoices and/or Receipts to client records. The invoice/receipt and it's details when sent will be added to the record's communication record.

Import Emails
With email importing setup, users won't need to copy/paste emails manually.
Delete a Communication
In SAM, open a client record > click Communications (sidebar) > click Advanced Options (sidebar) > click Delete one of the Sub-Records > click X next to desired Communication to delete > confirm and click Ok |
