This update was a long one. We've been working on this release since October 2022 and completed 66 tickets on this release. All clients received the release June 2023.
Highlights:
- Connecting to external email providers uses OAuth protocol vs basic authentication
- Email importing changes for improvements based on client feedback
- Show Case Program on Case Navigation field
Authenticating through OAuth with Google & Office 365
Users can now connect to either Gmail or Office365 using OAuth vs basic authentication, which is the preferred method to connect apps with these email providers.
Here are instructions for how to setup:
Setting up Email Sending and Importing for Google Workspace and Microsoft365
Email Settings Hub
Users will see a reorganization of the Settings screen, moving Tools to the left column, System Settings, including email setup in a new section, then Financial settings below in the second column. A new link to Email Settings Hub hosts users with email settings and email importing settings.
This screen shows users with email sending and importing enabled as well as if they are connected via OAuth. You are able to edit a user's email settings directly by clicking the green pencil on the right. The sidebar allows users to access the Default Email Account setup, Email importing settings, and a Sent Email Log of all emails sent from the system.
Default Email Account Backup
Users can now add a backup email account if a disconnection occurs for the default email account.
Email Importing Reports
New reports are linked under Email Import Settings to research and troubleshoot email importing functions.
Show Case Program on Case Navigation
Clients can now view the Case Program for Family, Foster Family, and Child records that have multiple cases on the Case Navigation field. It was previously showing only the Case # and users would need to toggle between cases to tell the program.
This setup is available on request because sometimes client sites use different lists for the Case Type/Program field.
