Forgot Your SAM Password?
Passwords can be reset from SAM's login screen.

On SAM's Login page > click Forgot your password > enter your Security Email Address > SAM will send an email to the Security Email Address > open the email and follow link > enter your new password twice > Save SAM will direct you back to the login screen to enter your credentials to login. |
If you do not receive an email from hello@mysamdb.com to reset your password, contact a SAM Lead with your organization to verify your Security Email Address on file and try again.
If you do not remember your username, you will need to contact a SAM Lead from your Organization to get it reset. The SAM Lead will verify your identity.
Change your Username and/or Password
From User Account Settings
In SAM, access your Person record > click Edit Login / Permissions (sidebar) > Adjust Username and/or Reset Password > enter your current password and enter your new password twice > Save |
From a User's Person Record
In SAM, open your Person record > click Edit Login and Permissions (sidebar) > update Login Username > Save |
Requirements for Usernames & Passwords
Username
Usernames must be at least 8 characters long and can only include:
- Uppercase (A-Z) and lowercase (a-z)
- Numbers: 0-9
- Special characters: underscore ( _ ), dash (-), period (.), at (@)
- Usernames cannot have spaces

Password
A strong password is essential to keeping your SAM site secure.
Strong passwords have at least 12 characters, symbols, and no ties to personal info, such as name, birthday, child or pet's names, etc.

Reusing passwords is a serious security risk. Consider using a password manager to generate a randomized and secure password. Internet browsers have password managers built-in.
