Guides to get you started with Form Customizer
The setup to make this come to life
1. Create a Public Form under Family > Case. Set as View and Public Form.
2. Add fields that communicate the family has reached the right spot, details about the case, including the Case Navigation field, so the family can toggle between cases.
To share Adoption and Post Adoption Report forms
Adoption records can be shared through a sub-form based on Adoptions.
1. From the Family Portal form > Advanced Options > Add Sub-form.
2. Select Family > Case > Adoption table.
3. Name the form. Set as Multi-record View.
On this sub-form, change the Form Properties settings to Hide the Form When it is Empty.
Create Adoption Details form and link up
1. Create a new form based on Family > Case > Adoption. Set as 1:1 View/Edit form.
Forms based on tables lower than the Main entity or the Case do not show the Public Forms option by default, so you will need to set this form as a Public Form.
Get There:
Advanced Options > Really Advanced Options > Advanced Form Properties > Public Form = Yes.
2. Link the Adoption Details to the Adoption Sub-form. Open the Adoption Sub-form > Advanced Options > Form Properties > Set the Details form as the Adoption Details form just created.
3. From the Adoption Details form, create a sub-form based on Family > Case > Adoption > Post Adoption Reports. Set as Multi-Record View-Only. Set this form as a Public Form.
Create a Detailed Post Adoption Report form(s) and link up
1. Create a new form based on Family > Case > Adoption > Post Adoption Reports.
2. Set as 1:1 View/Edit form. Set this form as a Public Form via Advanced Options > Really Advanced Options > Advanced Form Properties > Public Form = Yes.
3. Link the Post Adoption Report Details to the Post Adoption Report Sub-form. Open the Post Adoption Report Sub-form > Advanced Options > Form Properties > Set the Details form as the Post Adoption Report Details form just created.
Add Sidebar Links to other forms
Public Forms by default do not have the sidebar enabled. Public forms setup as View can have a sidebar to provide the family / end user with more resources.
Make it happen: Open the form customizer view of the form > Advanced Options > Really Advanced Options > Advanced for Properties > Set Sidebar Enabled (for Client Forms) = Yes.
