A Checkbox-List field can be set to link to a text field, usually when "Other" is an option on the list. The text box field will allow users to enter a better description.
This is useful function to see the description without having to display both fields. View forms, Reports and Templates
1. Open the Checkbox-List Field Properties screen.
2. Click Advanced Options > Link "Other" Text Field to this Checkbox-List.
3. Select the text box field that will be used as the description for "Other" from the Drop-down. The text box field must be on the same table as the Checkbox-List Field. Click Save.
A "Linked Fields" section will populate on the Field Properties screen, where you may edit the linked field in the future.
On the view form, you can see that "Sickness, in college are now also displayed in the checkbox list value for this record.
