A Checkbox-List can be setup to link to a text field, like when "Other" is an option in the list. The text box field will allow users to enter a better description and when viewed, the Checkbox will show users the written in value on View forms, Reports and Templates.
1. Open the Checkbox-List Field Properties screen.
2. Click Advanced Options > Link "Other" Text Field to this Checkbox-List.
3. Select the text box field that will be used as the description for "Other" from the Drop-down. Click Save. The text box field must be created and on the same table as the Checkbox-List Field.
A "Linked Fields" section will populate on the Field Properties screen, where you may edit the linked field in the future.
On the view form, you can see that "Sickness, in college are now also displayed in the checkbox list value for this record.
