Multi-record tables are sub-records of the Main Record. There are many instances of this data tracked. Examples of Multi-record tables are Communications, Documents, Parent Education, Home Studies, Licenses, reports, etc.
Data of Multi-record tables are displayed/entered through sub-forms. Sub-forms can be added to main forms or could be shown separate if a Container is created.
Create a new Multi Record Table
- Navigate to Settings > Tables and Fields > Advanced Options > Create New Table
- Select the Parent Table. In the example below case, Unsupervised Time can have multiple records per Placement, so the Placement table is the Parent.
- Name the Table and select Has Multiple records per Parent Table.
- SAM will direct you to the Table Properties screen once created.
Here you can add the fields, or postpone adding them until you build the form.
