The Family tab is organized to collect information on adoptive families.
The Family table contains basic demographic and contact fields primarily. On the Family Cover Page, the side bar contains links to store additional information about a family. These are typically sub-record tables under the Family table. Some links available are: Home Study Details, Background Checks, Persons in Home, Travel, Counseling, and Parent Education.
Typically, the Case table is added to an Add Family form, but that may not always be true. The Case table should store action fields, like Inquiry Date, Application Received Date, etc to record how this record interacts with your program. If a Family enters your program(s) more than once, you should Open a New Case, rather than enter a new Family record.
