A potential match is available to record families presented to birth parents or vise versa.
An adoption referral is a potential child referral to a family. A child can only have one current offer at a time, however, unlimited pending offers which become the current offer once the existing current offer expires or is canceled. A family can have unlimited current offers. Offers are shown at the bottom of the family form and child form.
When entering offers for sibling groups, the family's case must have enough open adoption slots within their adoption preferences for all the children in the sibling group that must be placed together. Families who do not have enough open adoption slots will not be shown in the drop-down list of families to choose from.
The Family's case must be in a stage which is allowed to have offers. These stages are: Application, Home Study, and Dossier. For the Child: Waiting, Matching, Dissolution.
A family can have many children referred to them after they have committed to one, or when the Commitment has been entered.
Canceling a current offer will change it to a past offer, but canceling a pending offer will just delete it. The link to view Past Offers is shown in the Side Bar under Add/Edit Offers while the Child or Case is in a stage that can have offers.
Once the child or case are in a stage that cannot have offers, then the link to view Past Offers will be accessible under Advanced Options. When viewing past offers, the length shown is the actual length of the offer, which can be shorter than the initial set length if the offer was canceled or declined.
