Types of alerts:
- Custom Alert Use custom alerts to notify others about an entity, but this alert is not common and will not be used repeatedly for other entities.
- Duplicate Alerts
- Triggered Alerts: Complaints or Commitment Cancelation, Adoption Disruption, and Adoption Dissolution These alerts are triggered by a date or stage entry made to an entity. More information can be found by following the links above.
- You can create a new alert to the Alert Type/Title drop-down list for commonly used alerts.
Add an Alert
- Open an entity’s form.
- Click on Advanced Options in the side menu bar and choose “Add Alert.”
- Choose the Alert type from the drop-down list, and choose a color. The default is red. If you choose Custom Alert, add a note in the Alert Details box to differentiate the alert.
- Add any additional details and check the box if only Full Admins should view the alert.
- Press Save.
Edit/Delete an Alert
A user must have the permissions to Delete the Main Record, like "Delete Child", in order to delete the Alerts.
- Open an entity’s form that contains an alert.
- Click Edit Alert located on the right side of the Alert box.
- Change the alert or to delete, press “Delete Alert” from the side menu bar.
- Press Save.
Manage Alert Type/Title
The drop-down list for Alert Type can be managed like all other Lists in SAM. To access this list: Settings > Lists > Alert Type/Title
Complaint Alerts
A complaint alert is established when a complaint has been entered for an entity. A large red block with the complaint warning will be posted at the top of the entity’s form. A link in the side bar to view additional details on the nature of the complaint and follow-up/outcome will be available.
Add a Complaint
- Open an entity’s form.
- Click on Advanced Options in the side bar and choose “Enter Complaint.”
- Add the details of the complaint and follow-up.
- Press Save.
Edit/Delete an Alert
- Open an entity’s form that contains an alert.
- Click Edit Alert located on the right side of the Alert box.
- Change the alert or to delete, press “Delete Alert” from the side bar.
- Press Save.
