SAM uses several tables to keep track of family, case and adoption information.
Each main record has a Case table to track the program prior to connecting to another record in the triad. When a record is entered, generally you are also adding to the Case table taking the record from Inquiry Received Date / Intake Date to Case Closed. A case may have more than one Home Study.
The Adoption table connects the triad: Family, Birth Mother/Father and Child. Fields on the adoption table are shared between the Family, Child and Birth Mother/Father Records. Think of the adoption record as starting an adoption plan. A new adoption record will be needed for each child being adopted.
Post Adoption / Placement Reports are per child.
