Clients tracked in your SAM site may have one or more Case Types, aka Case Program, Program Type, or similar name depending on your SAM setup.
The Case Type field is used to distinguish the service provided to the client. For example, a Family may have a Home Study Only case followed by an Adoption case years later.
Editing Case Types
The case type field is a list field and can be edited by SAM Admins.
To edit the list, open the field on an edit or view form and click the small edit button to access the list. Alternatively, you can click View Field Properties, then click on the list shown from the Field Properties screen.
You can edit existing list items (ideal for items currently in use that just need a slight adjustment to the name), delete items (be sure they aren't used), and add new items.
Case Types as a Cover Page Redirect
The case type field can be configured as a cover page redirect field. This means that different case types can have different cover page forms. This makes sense, since the information you need to see for one program might not be applicable for another.
You can edit the cover page used for each case type from the case type list.
