Reports display records and data that has been entered in SAM. Reports are built with Report Builder.
Tables and Fields are fundamental to creating Forms, Reports, Auto Actions, and Templates.
Access Reports

In SAM, click on desired Report Name shown on your Report Menu on the Home Page If you are looking for other reports that are not on your Report Menu:

Using Reports
Report Configuration
Accordion that shows the tables, filters, and sorting for the report in it's default state. Click on the accordion to expand/collapse.
Report Stats
Report Stats are displayed at the top of Reports. View a census of clients, compute statistics (totals, averages, minimum, maximums) of data, and quickly filter your report on a specific category.

Report Stat Options on an Open Report
| In SAM, open a Report > click Report Stats accordion > click meatball menu of desired report stat |
SAM allows users to modify report stats directly on an open report with the following options.
- Edit Settings - modify how the selected report stat is set up
- Edit Order - modify the order the of the report stats
- Remove - delete the selected report stat from the report
- Add New - set up/add a new report stat
Report Toolbar
The horizontal bar above columns on the report.
- Default (Home Icon) - Returns Report to its default state without any added filters.
- Search - Apply Filters to modify the results of the Report.
- Record Counts - Shows totals for the records represented on the report.
- Rec/Page - Change the number of records displayed. Statistics shown for records displayed (totals, averages, min & max). Select Rec/Page = All if you want the statistics for all records.
- Navigation - Number of pages for report, page user is on, arrows to navigate through the report.
Columns (Fields) on Report
Hover over columns shown on a Report. A tooltip shows Table - Field Name for the Column.
Click on any column header within report to
- Sort by Column - Sort ascending or descending to rearrange the report without excluding records.
- Filter blank/empty or entered values - Search by that field with more extensive operators
- View Field Properties
- Modify Report - Add Fields, Move Fields, or Remove Fields
Field Values
Click on any value within the report to:
- Edit the Field's value
- Filter By Field - narrow results to the value you selected
- Exclude By Field Value
- Open the Entity's Cover Page
Sidebar Links for Report Options
Report Options allow users to take action on a report via sidebar links. Access Reports Sidebar by clicking the hamburger menu to the left of My Records.
Edit Report
Access the Report Builder view of the report.
Add Report Stat
To add a report stat directly from an open report:
| In SAM, on desired open Report > click hamburger menu > click Add Report Stat > select a table & field for the report stat and customize the report stat a desired > Save |
Add to My Report Menu

In SAM, right on the home screen click "Customize Your Report Menu" (if report menu is empty) or locate "Report Menu" section and click edit (pencil icon) > click Add Report > select desired reports, reports are generally grouped by entity type > Save > Reorder the reports if desired > click on the logo area (upper left) to return to the home screen > confirm that the desired reports are added to the Report Menu section in the desired order Modify the report menu anytime by locating the Report Menu section and clicking edit (pencil icon) |
Send Bulk Email
Users can send an email to multiple recipients.
Print Report
Sets up the current view of the report for print, including the Report Name.
Note that depending on the number of columns shown on the report that all fields may not fit nicely onto a page, so modification of print settings may be need to scale the visual to fit the page or change the page orientation.
Print Templates
Prepare prints of templates for records shown on the report.
Export Email Addresses
Get email addresses for records or associated to records to use in a separate program.

In SAM, open a Report > click Advanced Options (sidebar)> Export Email Addresses (sidebar) > confirm/modify records to Exclude > Save > check box next to email address(es) to export > Save > Copy resulting email address list Paste email addresses into another program or use as desired. Only records that have the selected email address entered will show in the export. |
Export to Excel
Exports data in a CSV (coma separated values) table. Downloads to your browser and system downloads folder.
| In SAM, open a Report > click hamburger menu (left of My Records) > Advanced Options (sidebar) > Export to Excel (sidebar). The download will be available in your browser. |
Bulk Update Records
SAM allows you to update client data for all records on the report.

In SAM, open a Report > Bulk-Update Records (sidebar) > click Add button > select desired Table(s) > select desired Field(s) > set value(s) > Save > review for accuracy > click Confirm After adding a field, a gear icon will open. Use this to set the value from another field's value. On Save, SAM will display all records that will be affected and the field value/update that will be applied. |
Bulk Insert Records
Allows users to insert sub-records to clients on a report

In SAM, open a Report > Bulk-Insert Records > select desired Multi-record Table to add records for > Save > click Add button > select desired Field(s) > Save > click Confirm *After adding a field, a gear icon will open. Use this to set the value from another field's value. |
